SAILING HISTORY
1955 - 58 Pram dinghies.
1958 - 60 International Cadet.

1961 - 65 National Firefly.
1966 International Fourteen.
1968 Crewed 40 foot sloop UK – West Indies, learning celestial navigation en route.
1968 - 70 OK dinghy.

1975 Purchased 34ft. trimaran, “Whisky Jack, delivery Galveston, TX – St. Kitts + three editions Sint Maarten Tradewinds Race + transatlantic to UK and Round Britain Race in 1978. Finished in top 10.
1979 Founded "St. Kitts Boat Building Company" with David Stranger and built 8 multi-hulls in the 40-75 foot range.

1981 - 83 These included “Skyjack”, a 45 foot Spronk catamaran in which we went four times transatlantic, including Route du Rhum, Two Star and Round Britain Race where we won our class.
1984 Built “Spirit of St. Kitts”, 75 foot Spronk catamaran, went six times transatlantic, once solo and Quebec-St. Malo race, Round Britain Race (first in class) and Tour d’Europe.
1986 Built International Six Meter, “St. Kitts” at Elephant Boatyard, UK, shipped to Seawanaka, USA for the Worlds Championships, finished 6th.
1987 British Champion and European Champion in Six Meter Class, Falmouth, UK
1988 Built sister to “St. Kitts”.
1989 Built 30 foot, all carbon, swing rig, canting keel 30 footer in Bembridge, UK.

1990 Single handed Plymouth, UK – St. Kitts.
1991 Single handed St. Kitts – Plymouth.
1995 Built 30 foot twin 200 Yamaha outboards, cruised St. Kitts – St. John’s River, New Brunswick.
1996 - 2001 Bought “Tiger” 94 foot motor yacht built in 1928, cruised Venezuela twice and round Cuba, lost 4 July 2001.

2003 – 2006 Built replica International Twelve Meter, “Kate”
2006 – 2007 Four “firsts” for “Kate” in 10 races in Sint Maarten, St. Bart’s, BVI & Antigua.
